The business of being beautiful

Opportunity offered to buy or lease exclusive Noosa Heads Hastings Street precinct day spa as part of new, internationally managed resort

A day spa operator is being sought to provide beauty services and treatments to visitors and guests of the first internationally managed spa and resort property to be developed in Noosa’s prestigious Hastings Street precinct in 20 years. The resort, to be managed by the Outrigger Hotels & Resorts and operated as the Outrigger Little Hastings Street Resort & Spa has been developed by Leighton Properties and the Macquarie Group of Companies.

The architecturally designed, 450 square metre day spa forms part of the $350 million Viridian Village residential and resort development. The resort includes a total of 198, one to four bedroom apartments, villas and penthouses along with resort facilities such as pools, a gymnasium, restaurant, bar, conference and meeting facilities. The resort is expected to welcome its first guests in July 2010.

James Coffey of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels is marketing the day spa offer for sale or lease via an Expressions of Interest (EOI) campaign which extends until 12.00 midday, 25 February 2010. He said that the offer was expected to generate a high level of national interest due to the spa’s quality design and construction along with its premium location and the credentials of Outrigger as resort operator. The Noosa Heads region also boasts a strong performing tourist market.

“Apart from the brand new and luxuriously appointed premises this offer is extremely rare in that it provides the potential Day Spa owner with a ready-made client base of resort guests including the lucrative conference and wedding market plus access to Noosa Heads’ 1.7million per annum tourist population and local resident population,” James said.

“Being a new property the successful owner will also benefit from the extensive marketing campaign the developer and resort operators are currently undertaking in order to promote the resort and sale of apartments which has generated a high level of exposure for the property,” James added.

The Day Spa is situated in a central location within the Resort, along the newly named Little Hastings Street which merges with Hastings Street. The fit out includes:

  • massage treatment rooms
  • spas including a large Epson Salt floatation spa
  • Japanese hot tub
  • Vichy shower
  • spray tan and waxing rooms
  • lockers, showers and female and male changing rooms
  • kitchenette and a storeroom

The Day Spa has been designed by internationally acclaimed architect John Mainwaring of Queensland’s JMA Architects and features high ceilings, natural stone tiles, timber batten screening, custom designed joinery, dimmable mood lighting and air conditioning.
