The joint venture partners have purchased the long term leasehold interest for the redevelopment of land surplus to aviation requirements at Bankstown Airport.
Bankstown Airport is Australia’s busiest airport and the largest general aviation airport in the country. It is situated just 1 km from the M5 Motorway, 6 kilometre from Liverpool and adjacent to the extensive Milperra/Revesby industrial and business precinct.
The Bankstown Airport Masterplan was approved by the Commonwealth Government in March 2005 as the statutory document which will guide the growth and development of Bankstown Airport until 2025. A comprehensive services masterplan has been prepared for the site and construction of services has commenced including upgraded road, power, water and sewerage services.
The flexible zoning provided by the Bankstown Airport Masterplan will provide a mix of land uses available for purchase and development including industrial, retail, commercial, aged care, education and special use zones, with lots ranging in size from 2,500m2 to 20 hectares.
