Hoxton Park Airport Announced For Sale |
Leighton Properties and Mirvac have announced that south west Sydney’s Hoxton Park Airport is for sale. The 59* hectare site is available as a whole or in two parcels of 40.83* hectare industrial site and a 18.11* hectare residential area. Located 8 kilometres from the Liverpool CBD and 39 kilometres west of Sydney, the strategic site provides access to adjacent residential centres, retail and commercial business districts.
The 50/50 joint venture partners acquired the freehold rights to the site in 2003 intending to re-zone and sell the site. The zonings for the site have now been gazetted and will take effect on December 15, 2008, when airport operations cease. Leighton Properties' NSW Manager, Andrew Cooper said the Hoxton Park Airport sale was a rare opportunity to secure significant undeveloped land in one of Sydney’s fastest growing regions.
Jones Lang LaSalle’s NSW Head of Industrial Services Matthew Herrett said Hoxton Park’s strategic location in the developing south west sector and varied zonings suiting multiple uses offered unique opportunities. "The site’s proximity and easy access to the M7 Motorway creates a major opportunity for residential, commercial and industrial developers", Mr Herrett said.
Expressions of Interest for the sale close at 4:00pm Thursday 27th November 2008. Interested parties should contact the vendor's agents Todd Anderson at Knight Frank Pty Ltd and Matthew Herrett at Jones Lang LaSalle (NSW) Pty Ltd.
