Leighton Properties was awarded the Brisbane Lord Mayor's Business Award for Sustainability in Business, signifying a great achievement as the award is a Brisbane wide Business Award that celebrates sustainability not only in property development, but across all business industries.
The HQ development continues to shine, recently having achieved the UDIA (Queensland) Boral Award for Excellence Retail/Commercial Development over 3,000sqm. This marks the sixteenth award for the development given to Leighton Properties or Leighton Contractors over the past year.
King George Central in the Brisbane CBD has also achieved its 6 Star Green Star Office Design v2 Rating from the GBCA. This is Leighton Properties' fifth 6 Star Green Star rated development.
In October, Leighton Properties’ website was awarded an ‘Outstanding Website’ award at the 2011 WebAwards, an annual international competition sponsored by the Web Marketing Association. More than 2,000 sites from 45 countries were judged in 96 industry categories during this year's competition. Entries were evaluated on a number of criteria including creative, design, innovation, navigation and use of technologies.
Leighton Properties worked with BAMBOO, a creative digital agency based in Sydney in the refreshing of the website that was launched in November 2010.
