Leighton Properties lends a helping hand

With over 34,000 children in Australian foster care - many who enter with nothing - the Queensland based Pyjama Foundation has been making a difference by providing new and warm pyjamas.
Founded in 2004 by Queensland’s 2009 Australian of the Year, Bronwyn Sheehan, the annual drive has this year raised over 5,000 pyjamas, including 111 donated by Leighton Properties with help from its consultants.
Andrew Borger, National Head of Commercial, said, “There are so many important causes out there, but the Pyjama Foundation really struck a chord with our staff. It allows us to make a meaningful difference – no one wants a child to be shivering in bed in winter.”
