Works were finalised at Hamilton Harbour's Riverside on Thursday 15th November, when practical completion was reached on the 20 storey residential tower.
The construction of Riverside’s 189 apartments was completed 2 months ahead of schedule, enabling settlement to begin.
John Campbell, Project Director, said that the successful delivery of Riverside ahead of schedule added to the already successful construction program of the Hamilton Harbour precinct. Stages 1 and 2 works commenced in May 2010 and were completed in November 2011.
“We exceeded expectations, delivering 75,000 square metres of built project in just 18 months, ahead of schedule and under budget, allowing settlements to begin earlier than expected and allowing residents to begin moving in.”
“Once the retail and office components of Hamilton Harbour are completed, the precinct will generate activity and meeting places for residents and workers from both within the development and the broader community,” said Mr Campbell.
The vibrant retail offering will be anchored by major supermarket chain, Woolworths. Opening in May 2013 will be their small format supermarket concept, catering for quick, convenience shopping - a perfect match for residents, workers and the surrounding community. Additional retail offerings committed within Hamilton Harbour include a cafe, a fitness centre, travel agent, bottle shop and bakery.
